FAQ

How do you make your Weather Stations robust?

Our Weather Stations are designed and built to last, not to a minimum price, and are robust both mechanically and electronically.

Mechanically, we use non corrosive metals – stainless steel and aluminium – and powder coat them to provide a further barrier.  In some cases, we use a specialised grade of stainless steel for further protection.

Electronically, we design our system to withstand electrical surges and we include components to protect against nearby lightning strikes.  We also use our own unique and robust digital signal to transfer data from our sensors to our weather recorders, thus ensuring a high degree of signal integrity and reliability.

Environdata also uses its own unique method of communicating between its sensors and its Weather Recorders to minimise interference to the signal.
